How was YOUR day?

Day 27 "How was your day?" How often when we say it or hear it, do we actually mean it? Is it a matter of habit to just say it as a greeting, much like saying "Oh fine thanks" as a response is a habit no matter how your day actually went? The art of conversation is slowly slipping away. We spend so much time on social media that real life interactions are getting less frequent year after year. There is so much in that little phrase... "How was your day?" I would challenge us all to take it seriously. Ask it ONLY if you're actually interested the answer. If someone asks you, respond like they really want to know. Here's one more personal challenge. When someone asks you "How was your day?", I'm going to urge you to answer with something positive that happened in your day. Even if it was the worst day ever! In that situation for example, you could answer something like, "You know, I had a really rough day, but no matter what, I never get tired of looking at the beautiful mountains on the North Shore. I really do love living here!" I bet you'll feel a little better and the person asking might even dive further and empathize with you about your crappy day. That'd probably make you feel even better don't you think? In the end it's so nice to have someone care about you and your day. Share the moment with one another and enjoy the conversation that results from that simple little phrase. By the way, how WAS your day? Peace ❤️
